Meet Hetzel

Judge Hetzel is a graduate of West Bend East High School. He obtained his bachelor's degree in Political Science from UW-Stevens Point. In 1997, he received his Law Degree from Marquette University Law School. After a few years in private practice, he opened Hetzel Law Office, LLC in West Bend, and worked there until taking the bench as Circuit Court Judge, Branch I, in June of 2022.

Why I am Running to Retain My Seat

Washington County has a history of distinguished judges who apply and follow the law even-handedly. I am proud to follow in their footsteps. It has been my privilege to serve the community as a Circuit Court Judge.

Throughout my career in private practice, I was privileged to represent thousands of clients with a great variety of legal needs. My current position as the Branch I Circuit Court Judge allows me to serve the whole Washington County population in a different capacity. Every day, I am grateful for the opportunity to serve and mindful that I serve on behalf of the people of Washington County.
